Repairs
Because even the finest chains sometimes need a little care ✨
At Plain Chains, we understand that life happens — babies tug, sweaters snag, and sometimes a chain meets an
unexpected pull. It’s all part of being well-loved. But don’t worry — we’re here to help bring your piece
back to perfection.
When Things Go Wrong
While we take great pride in the craftsmanship of every piece, even the strongest chains can bend or break under stress. If your chain has been pulled, caught, or stretched, that’s not a manufacturing fault — but it’s something we can usually repair with ease.
Our professional team can tell the difference between a metal that’s been pulled by accident and a genuine manufacturing flaw. Either way, your chain is in expert hands.
To ensure the highest quality service, we are happy to offer repairs on Plain Chains pieces up to three years from the date of purchase. For older items, we will happily provide an assessment and advice, though repairs may not always be possible.
How Our Repair Process Works
1. Send It In
Contact us to arrange your repair. Once received, we’ll take detailed photographs of your piece for our records — ensuring complete transparency and care.
2. Assessment & Estimate
If the damage appears to be from wear or an accidental pull, we’ll assess it and provide a small, fair repair estimate. If you’d prefer not to go ahead, we’ll simply return your chain in its original condition — no problem at all.
3. Manufacturing Faults
On the rare occasion we discover that the issue lies in the metal itself or a manufacturing flaw, we’ll repair or replace your chain at no cost to you.
Understanding Metal Strength
Each metal we use has its own beautiful characteristics — and knowing them helps you care for your pieces better:
Sterling Silver
Elegant, bright, and timeless. Silver is slightly softer than gold or platinum, which means it can bend if tugged or snagged — but it’s also wonderfully easy to restore to its original shine.
Gold
Available in yellow, white, or rose tones, gold is the perfect balance of strength and luxury. It’s durable enough for daily wear, yet still refined and beautiful.
Platinum
The most durable of our metals, platinum is naturally strong and dense, offering exceptional longevity. It’s ideal for those who want something both luxurious and resilient.
No matter the metal, every Plain Chains piece is crafted to last — and when life happens, we’re always happy to help it shine again.
